2018: Klaus Andrew Pippin

Early Life & Education

Klaus grew up in Austin, Texas, attended the University of Texas at Austin, and received a degree in exercise science.  

Personal Life

He is married to his longtime partner Genevieve and the pair enjoy birding together. Klaus has used a wheelchair since age 12 and has participated in Paralympic Games in basketball as a player and trainer. 

Career

Klaus worked in medical fitness and rehabilitation with a focus on athletes with disabilities after retiring from training and participating in Paralympic Games.  

Klaus helped coach the 2016 men’s Paralympic Gold Medal winning team.
