2000: Al Johnson

Early Life & Education

Al was born and raised in Schenectady, New York. He attended SUNY Schenectady County Community College, where he studied veterinary sciences. 

Personal Life

Al battled addiction and was sentenced to community service after a few alcohol-related arrests. He was assigned to work as a Suchcicki Santa, where he discovered his life’s work. Al enjoys fly fishing in his spare time. 

Al has been happily married for 30 years. 

Career

Al worked as a veterinary technician before his work as a Suchcicki Santa. 

Update

Al currently runs an animal shelter with his best friend and fellow Santa 2020, Jack O’DOnnelly.
